The Flint Wall Company was started in 2009 by Chris and Duncan. Since then we have grown into the largest specialist flint company in the country, expanding and recruiting skilled stone workers whilst also training up the next generation of flint wallers.
United by a shared love of the material and commitment to high standards of craftsmanship the company is flourishing, delivering on both domestic and large scale projects.
We are also working alongside professional conservation bodies such as S.P.A.B (The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buidlings) to promote and enhance good practice in the industry.
With a background in history Duncan developed an interest in conservation work soon after leaving University. Returning to his native Sussex he established himself as a master flint worker learning his craft under the tutorage of a number of experts.
Duncan has worked on projects run by both The National Trust and English Heritage. During his time in Sussex worked on some of the county's most loved buildings.
Chris came to flint from a dry stone walling background where he worked on high specification jobs such as gold medal winning gardens at the Chelsea Flower Show.
He has an excellent eye for detail and experience of high quality building and design work. Since joining The Flint Wall Company he has excelled in running and designing jobs for architects and garden designers, and consistently produces work of the highest quality.
