English Heritage budget cut by 30%

It has been reported that the English Heritage budget has been slashed by 30%. A challenging time ahead looms over the organisation.
As part of the Comprehensive Spending Review the Department for Culture Media and Sport announced the reduction to the heritage body on the 21st October 2010. Stonehenge, Wiltshire.

Decision challenged
The decision has not gone unchallenged with the Umbrella Group's chair, Loyd Grossman retaliating:
"Yesterday's announcements show that government as whole still doesn't quite 'get' heritage."
