They come from a variety of educational & vocational backgrounds each bringing a unique set of abilities to the team.

Duncan Bain

With a background in history Duncan developed an interest in conservation work soon after leaving University. Returning to his native Sussex he established himself as a master flint worker learning his craft under the tutorage of a number of experts. Duncan has worked on projects run by both The National Trust & English Heritage & during his time in Sussex worked on some of the county's most loved buildings.

Chris Eadie

Chris came to flint from a dry stone walling background where he worked on high specification jobs such as gold medal winning gardens at the Chelsea Flower Show. He has an excellent eye for detail & experience of high quality building & design work. Since joining The Flint Wall Company he has excelled in running & designing jobs for architects & garden designers, & consistently produces work of the highest quality.

Edwin Lugg

Edwin trained as master bricklayer in Dorset shortly after leaving college. His technical knowledge and enthusiasm has been invaluable to the team since joining The Flint Wall Company in 2013.

Ben Wilson

Ben is useful to have around because he knows more about anything than anyone else and has experience in all jobs. Ben has done private consultancy work including advising the Chinese how to improve their ‘Great’ Wall.
